THE 13TH EDITION OF ACAW

The 13th Edition of Asia Contemporary Art Week expands to a full season this fall, offering cutting-edge exhibitions, receptions, performances, studio visits, discussions & festivities at leading Consortium Partner’s museums & galleries citywide. The season will be centered around a constellation of ACAW curated programs revolving around ideas of collections and collecting as an artistic, archival, and educational practice and process. ACAW editions attract an influential class of museum directors, leading curators, Asia-specialist art advisors, gallerists, prominent collectors, members of the press, and the general public. FIELD MEETING Take 6: Thinking Collections 

ACAW’s acclaimed annual art forum, FIELD MEETING, will for the first time, premier offsite at Alserkal Avenue in Dubai (January 24-26, 2019) staging a dynamic string of pop-up exhibitions, performances, lecture-performances and discussions. In less than 10 years, Alserkal Avenue has become MENASA region’s – Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia– foremost creative hub and cultural destination, housing over 60 galleries, arts organizations, and studios. Presented in the context of a large regional festival, FIELD MEETING in Dubai offers multiple networking, publicity, and collaboration opportunities for all participants. Over a period of 3-4 days, FIELD MEETING fulfills ACAW’s longstanding commitment to promote more significant inner-Asia artistic & institutional collaborations, particularly between the countries of East and West Asia (The Middle East).
