ACAW 2018 Signature Program

Thinking Collections: Open Studios (Sept. 5 – Nov. 2)
Viewing the city of New York as an unexplored collection that houses havens of artists, ACAW 2018 introduces a new signature program centered on expanding opportunities for networking and education through a series of especially organized Open Studios / Studio Visits. The program spotlights artists whose practices broaden a variety of artistic and philosophical inquiries, directly or indirectly related to Asia. Within ACAW 2018’s conceptual framework, Thinking Collections, the program weaves ACAW Director, Leeza Ahmady’s thesis of “seeing the artist as the first collector and artists’ studios as primary collections” by inviting art professionals and the general public to connect directly to artists, their research, and art-making processes in the context of their own intimate studios and creative workspaces.

Space is limited and advanced RSVP strongly suggested. See each artist’s profile for RSVP link.
