Between 2001 and 2019, Asia Contemporary Art Week (ACAW) programs spotlighted over 3,000 artists and practitioners whose work related explicitly to or expanded on aesthetic legacies that powerfully contextualize Asia’s burgeoning contemporary art scenes and recent arts and cultural historical trajectories. Each presented artist contributed to ACAW’s impact as the premier US platform dedicated to showcasing reputable and lesser-known artists and dialogues from across all regions of Asia, including Central Asia, South and Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

Artists in ACAW’s Curated Signature Programs participated in specially commissioned initiatives that directly engaged with ACAW’s vision for underrepresented dialogues and nuanced critical perspectives. Meanwhile, those featured in Consortium Partner Exhibitions were selected and presented by leading museums, galleries, and institutions as part of ACAW. Together, these artists embody the breadth and dynamism of contemporary art in Asia and its vast diasporic artistic communities worldwide.
