ACKNOWLEDGMENT

DIRECTOR’S ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I would like to acknowledge and thank the individuals and organizations that have in various ways supported ACAW 2011 and have helped make the seventh edition a success.

A very special thanks to Margaret Cogswell and the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) for the grant they provided towards ACAW 2011 highlight program. For decades ACC has quietly supported cultural exchange between the United States and Asia and within the countries of Asia, tailoring each fellowship to support the goals of each individual recipient.  We are especially delighted to present a dialogue session featuring ACC’s 2011 grantees on Wed, March 30th at Location One.  A small showcasing of ACC’s work as a unique organization that creates dynamic platforms for artists and cultural advocates (with nearly 6,000 grantees) providing limitless opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and growth.

Thanks to Art Asia Pacific magazine for their continued generous support since 2004 as ACAW’s exclusive print media sponsor. Other ACAW 2011 sponsors include: Sotheby’s who is hosting a special dialogue session and reception in honor of ACAW on March 22nd. Art on Air, a collaborator since 2006, will be archiving ACAW Dialogues sessions with recordings available online at www.artonair.org/series/asian-contemporary-art-week, and Artnet as our online media sponsor.
