As a prelude to Asia Contemporary Art Week 2018, ACAW presented a wide-ranging discussion with internationally noted, Mumbai-based artist, Jitish Kallat, on the occasion of his exhibition “Decimal Point” at Sperone Westwater, with Vice President of Global Arts & Programs and Asia Society Museum Director, Boon Hui Tan and Independent Curator / ACAW Director, Leeza Ahmady.

 

Facilitating a more worldly and diverse discourse about art and art history, the conversation contextualized Kallat’s highly anticipated New York exhibition around ideas of time, sustenance and perception amid compelling evocations of the celestial and the cosmological. These preoccupations are evidenced in many mediums including photography, sculpture, video and drawing.
