Focus Kazakhstan — Thinking Collections: Telling Tales
2-5pm | Mana Contemporary

(888 Newark Ave, Jersey City, NJ)

Join curators Leeza Ahmady and Vlad Sludisky for a walkthrough of ACAW 2018’s survey exhibition Focus Kazakhstan – Thinking Collections: Telling Tales, which focuses on Kyzyl Tractor, one of Central Asia’s most celebrated art collectives noted for their feverish experimentations and legendary performances in the 1990’s and early 2000’s.

The walkthrough is followed by an Open Forum with a group of esteemed Respondents-arts professionals from various contemporary art arenas who will discuss the exhibition’s significance and timely presentation in Jersey City in relationship to larger discourses taking place across Asia and the world.
